APPEARANCE Aventurine makes certain to make an impression at first glance. His default choice of wear is an ostentatious outfit, often accessorized with pink sunglasses and a hat and plenty of jewelry. Absent his usual outfit, he tends to default to well tailored and patterned suits, and absent that, simple well tailored outfits. He is rarely, if ever, in anything approximating jeans and a t-shirt. It's easy to overlook his height -- on the shorter side of the galactic average, simply because he makes himself take up as much of the room as possible at any point in time.

Avgins, on the whole, have a galactic reputation for being beautiful, with unique eyes -- while it is debatable if this is reliable information given its tie to other pejorative stereotypes about Aventurine's particular ethnic group, Aventurine certainly fits the bill. His features are delicate, though his overall build is trim but fit. While Aventurine would never openly admit to doing so, he takes care to make sure that, even naked, he gives off the impression of not being in want of food or strength. His eyes are dual-toned -- a magenta outer color with a shocking light blue inner, with diamond shaped pupils. As unusual as they are, they do not glow in the dark. Instead, they do not reflect light. This, somehow, has no bearing on his ability to see.

Beyond the tattoo on his neck designating him as a slave to anyone from his universe, there are smaller tells that are easier to hide. Discoloration and scarring of his wrists, ankles, and neck are evident if one looks closely, and there are scars across his back clearly from whips. He does not purposefully hide these marks, but does nothing to draw attention to them.

An animated talker, Aventurine uses his hands as much as his face in conversations, though he never acts without intent. It all seems natural, but those who are familiar with Aventurine's inner turmoil (or are gifted with the ability to see through even the best of masks) can pick apart his mannerisms to understand which are true and which are part of the act that is Aventurine of Stratagems.

Born on Sigonia-VI as Kakavasha, Aventurine grew up knowing a several important things about his life. First, that he was blessed by his clan's goddess -- Gaiathra Triclops. Second, that his planet was a harsh, inhospitable place and, as one of the Avgin of Sigonia, his clan was cast out of the planet-wide government due to the presumption that they were "crafty, smooth-talking, and capricious." And third: his sister was his only family, and they were meant to look out for each other and take care of each other. For all that Aventurine grew up impoverished, he kept his love for his sister dear to his heart, and was more than happy to use his luck to improve their lives in little ways.
